ScrapX Views

ScrapX 1.3 allows five scrapbook views: Item, Thumbnail, Combined, Dropbox, and Slideshow. The view for a particular scrapbook can be selected from the View command in the Menu bar. The Item, Thumbnail and Combined views also have View Selector buttons that can be used to change the view for a given scrapbook.

Item View. The Item view (shown at about 70% normal size) is like that in ScrapX 1.0 or the classic scrapbook.

Thumbnail View. The Thumbnail view displays multiple items. You can copy and paste or drag-and-drop to and from the Thumbnail window, and you can drag-and-drop within the Thumbnail window to re-order items in a scrapbook.

Combined View. This is a combination of the Item and Thumbnail view. The item that is displayed in the Item Window is highlighted in the Thumbnails window.

Dropbox View. The Dropbox view is a miniature window that floats above all other windows and can be left on the desktop even when the ScrapX application is hidden. It is qualitatively different than the other ScrapX views because content can be dropped on it, but cannot be moved from it. When Dropbox view is selected the first time the image in the Dropbox window is the ScrapX icon. But the icon for each scrapbook can be selected from any item in the scrapbook. (These examples are full size.)

Slideshow View. The Slideshow view is used only for slideshows. The content of the Item Window, less the tool bar, is displayed against a background color that fills the entire computer screen; all desktop images including Dropbox icons are hidden. Content cannot be moved to or from the Slideshow view.
