Slideshows

Displaying the current scrapbook in slideshow is as simple as clicking the Slideshow button in the Combined or Item view. By default, the slideshow will include all of the items in the scrapbook except movies and sounds, and will use a set of default slideshow settings. Slides will be the size of the Item Window in the current Combined or Item view, and will be centered on a colored background.

Customizing Slideshows

Slideshow presentation can be customized in two ways: by changing slideshow settings and by changing display settings for individual items. Slideshow settings are user-determined options for how the slideshow operates for a particular scrapbook. These settings are selected in a two step process. First, default settings for all new scrapbooks are selected in the "Slideshows" section of the User Preferences. Second, settings for an individual scrapbook are changed in a Slideshow Settings panel. This panel is opened by selecting the Show Slideshow Settings command in the Scrapbook menu. Initially this panel is populated with the default settings from the User Preferences, but any of the settings can be changed and made unique to the particular scrapbook.

Changes to display settings, which have nothing to so with slideshows per se, also can be used to make slideshow presentations more interesting and effective. For example:
